Don't miss your opportunities!

When I encountered the announcement of the British Council about the course “Education in the UK for School Counselors” on our school website, I felt confused. On one hand, having knowledge about the education in the UK would contribute immensely to my work: as a high school teacher I often consult parents about pursuing their children study abroad. On the other hand, it would take too much time and effort! The dilemma arose, “What should I do?”

 

I always encourage my students either to catch opportunities or to create them. Otherwise, you would fade out waiting until Mr. X comes and solves all your problems. Nobody but you is able to do that! Thus I made my decision and took part in the above mentioned course. Though it took all my free time, I obtained valuable knowledge, found many educational resources, and met interesting people at the testing center. Since the training course was on-line, I felt “updated” because the last time when I substantially learned about the British education was in my university years… a little while ago.
