EUROPEAN STUDENT CONVENTION 2013 IN GREAT BRITAIN

Participation in student conventions has become our tradition. Along with the Regional Convention which is held annually in Russia, our team attends either European in the UK or International in the USA Conventions on a regular basis as of the year 2009. During these 5 years, 40 students from our school took part in conventions abroad. Among them, there are 22 prize-winners and 14 finalists who brought both medals and fame to our school.

European Student Convention 2013 has become special because the number of medals our participants won there exceeded all our expectations. We feel really proud of having such students in our school!

List of the winners

The trip to the UK was educational. On the way to Millfield, where our convention was held, we visited Stonehenge and spent one day and night in a historically significant town of Glastonbury in the hotel built in 1457. After participation in the European Convention, our team moved to London where we stayed for 5 days in a nice hotel near Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Our exploration started from a double-decker bus tour and a river cruise. Then we visited Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Dungeon, Aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s Museum, Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, National Gallery, Museum of Science, Zoo, and all parks of London. Moreover, since our team of 10 people was international, we decided to try international cuisine by visiting Greek, Italian, English, Chinese, and Korean restaurants in London. London impressed us so much that we did not want to leave it. We will definitely come here again!

Next academic year 2013-2014, in May, we are planning to visit the United States of America. All the information about this trip will appear on our school web-site in June. Don’t miss the opportunity to become a part of our friendly international team!!!
